Backhoes & Excavators

Rent It. Dig It!

Hello everyone. My name is Chris Chilkotowsky and I am the Assistant Manager at Equipment & Event Rental. In today’s blog post I will be talking to you about our backhoes and excavators we offer for rent.

The first rental item I would like to present to you is the 4WD John Deere 110 Tractor Loader Backhoe. It’s equipped with a 43-hp, 4 cylinder, diesel engine, and great hydraulic power of up to 31 hp. This backhoe is very good for doing a wide variety of jobs from landscaping to septic system work. Are you redoing your driveway and need to grade and remove your old stones? This machine would work really well for that and also work great for laying down all of your new stone. This machine is very versatile and even though it was made for construction it is suitable to be used for homeowner purposes as well. The backhoe has a digging depth of up to 10 feet.

The next machine I will be talking about is our Kubota B26 Tractor Loader Backhoe. This machine is smaller than our John Deere backhoe with a 23 hp, it has a 3 cylinder engine, but it does not compromise in performance. The Kubota B26 is more compact, and is geared more towards smaller jobs. It can be used for both commercial and homeowner use, making this machine one of the most complete machines we have available to rent. The loader end of the B26 comes with a 60inch wide bucket and is very powerful. It can hold up to 1300lbs at maximum height! The Backhoe end of the machine had a digging depth of 8.3ft and has a digging force over 4200 lbs.  This machine is great for doing all kinds of odd jobs around the yard. It’s great for moving and laying mulch, stone or dirt. Or if you need to grade your yard, this machine is great for that too. The Kubota B26 is a must rent for contractors and homeowners alike for small to medium sized jobs.

The last and final machine I’ll be sharing with you today is the John Deere 35D Excavator. This machine has a zero-tail-swing design, which means it can rotate a complete 360 degrees on a central axis without having to worry about the tail end swinging over the tracks and possibly bumping a stationary object you’re working next to. The boom can swing 134 degrees, which combined with the zero-tail-swing feature gives you complete comfort and control in a tight setting. It is set on two standard rubber tracks which enables its use on a wide variety of different terrains and makes maneuverability easy and efficient. The main feature of the John Deere 35D is the 17ft digging arm. It has a digging depth of over 10ft and a digging force over 6,000 lbs! This machine is perfect for digging long trenches and digging out smaller foundations. It could also be really useful for pulling debris out of the ground. This machine also has a switch to make it easier to use by choosing either the backhoe operating controls or switching it to the excavator controls set. Did you know that a track machine is actually safer for minimizing damage to your grass and yard while driving on it than a wheeled machine? It does this by spreading out the ground pressure per square inch.

All three of these machines are available to rent here at Equipment & Event Rental, your rental specialists for all of your rental needs. Be sure to check back often and read more of our blog posts. I hope to see you soon and happy holidays!
